Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps is made up of 70 trained Emergency Medical Technicians who volunteer their time to help others in their community. NVAC covers an area of over 60 square miles and is one of the most active volunteer EMS providers in our region with a volume of over 2,200 calls and 30,000 volunteer hours per year. Currently, NVAC has three ambulances available to provide Basic Life Support (BLS) service. In order to provide advanced life support (ALS) to our community, NVAC contracts for a paramedic to be housed 24/7 at our station
